Middle School: English & History (6th - 8th)

High School: English (9th - 12th)

My Education:

Master’s degree Educational Administration Regent University

In 2006, my family came to VCCS, enrolling our son into the fifth grade. It was a great year for Jon and a great year for our family.  Ever since then, we have never looked back on our decision to come to VCCS.  It has been an incredible journey.  2019 marks my thirteenth year as the principal of the school.

My parents were also pastors and embedded into my heart a great love for our Lord Jesus and for all people.  It it my joy to extend that same love to VCCS each day.

I have worked as a teacher, principal and professor.  I served as a childrens’ pastor and co-pastor with my husband of North Valley Foursquare Church and Horizon Foursquare Church for 20 years.  Like my parents, I embody a passion for learning and a love for the church.  This is why I love VCCS- I am able to live out my faith among children and young people on a daily basis- teaching them about God and about academics.

It is my passion for VCCS to be a place where kids love to come to school. It is my goal for the students to excel and become the best version of themselves during their time at VCCS.  I have seen it happen time and time again and I know this is God’s plan for the school.  I am honored and humbled to partner with the Lord in such a magnificent plan.

I have a Bachelor of Engineering-Science (physics) degree from the University of Texas with a minor in mathematics, which gives me the knowledge to adequately teach high school math and science. In addition, I have completed twelve semester units toward my teaching credential at UC Northridge along with passing the California CBEST test required for credential teachers.

K4/Kindergarten Teacher

My name is Mrs. Cherry Loe. This is my second year teaching K4 & Kindergarten at VCCS. VCCS is an amazing school and I love being a part of the staff and the great-grandparent of a third grader attending here.

I taught kindergarten at Heritage Christian Academy for six years many years ago before accepting a position as Children’s Pastor at Church of the Living Christ in Ojai. I have worked with children for over forty years. My husband, Ron, and I have been married for fifty-three years. We have three children, four grandchildren, and three great grand children. I love gardening, cooking, road trips, and teaching children’s Sunday school. I enjoy family get-togethers but mostly I’m thankful for my relationship with Jesus!!

Our class mornings will consist of workstations, language, math, writing, group work, and reading. Our afternoons will consist of enrichment classes, including Spanish, P.E., Art, Science & Music. The enrichment classes will be designed especially for the developmental needs of Pre-K & Kindergarten children. The last part of our day we will have a short outside recess and in-class free time.

Our learning environment will be mostly hands-on math, science, & language. We use the Abeka curriculum, which is an excellent language & math program. Social Studies will include field trips & classroom studies about our community, family, and our country. We will explore science through experiments, cooking, and animal and insect life.

Our class will be learning to follow directions, classroom rules, respecting ourselves, others, classroom supplies and working materials. God’s Kindness is our school motto. That will be the foundation for everything we do and say
